I am a freshman on the women’s golf team at the University of Tennessee, and I am an economics major. By playing golf and being a part of the team, I have learned how to manage my time by maintaining a good GPA while playing, work effectively with others by creating a strong team environment with my coaches and teammates and to persevere even when a task becomes difficult by playing through the times when I don't feel well or am not playing well. I am very passionate about everything I do whether that’s in the classroom or on the golf course. I always do my best to complete all my tasks and responsibilities the most effective and efficient way possible.I have previously worked in a daycare for 3 years allowing me to develop skills of leadership, critical thinking, patience, and communication. Creating and implementing lesson plans kept me responsible for the education of those around me. I learned to be more selfless because I was not just doing that for my own benefit, but also for the proper education of my students. As I continue my professional career, I hope to one day play golf professionally, or even work on the business side of the golf world.
