Hello, my name is Bailey Gutierrez! As a passionate advocate for mental health and relational well-being, I am excited to pursue my journey as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My commitment to this field stems from both personal experiences and academic pursuits, where I have witnessed the profound impact that effective therapy can have on individuals, couples, and families.In May of 2024, I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and thus have obtained my Associate Marriage and Family Therapist license. During my practicum, I had the privilege of working through Elite Care Treatment and South Coast Counseling both of which are substance abuse treatment centers. I worked with a diverse population of individuals struggling with the complexities of substance abuse, mental health, and traumatic experiences. Through my practicum I was able to get the experience of working with individuals not only through one-on-one therapy, but in group settings to further understand the power of healing within this population.Prior to my educational experience through Vanguard University, in 2021 I graduated from California State University of Fullerton (CSUF) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as a minor in Human Services. During my time at CSUF, I was involved in a semester-long internship in which I was a teacher's assistant. As a TA, I provided educational assistance to students as well as graded assignments in a timely matter. In addition, I completed my undergraduate studies and graduated from Orange Coast College (OCC) in 2017 with an Associates Degree in Psychology.As I embark on my career as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions and build healthier relationships. I am committed to lifelong learning and supervision, knowing that growth in this field is continuous. I am eager to collaborate with seasoned professionals who can guide me in developing my skills and refining my therapeutic approach.
