I have always been passionate about protecting the environment. I took my first chemistry class in high school and have been fascinated by it ever since. As I began my journey into higher education, I learned more about toxic chemicals that are not only dumped into the environment, but present in products we use everyday. During my time at community College, a coworker told me her daughter was majoring in a field of study called environmental toxicology; I realized this was exactly what I wanted to pursue a career in. Fast forward to present, I have graduated from UC Davis with a BS in environmental toxicology. I was hired by Enthalpy Analytical Laboratory right after graduating to work on their LCMS instrument team doing PFAs analysis. I am proud that I have found work in helping clients remediate sites affected by these harmful chemicals. My role as an LCMS analyst has lead me to develop strong skills in quantitative data analysis and peer review. I have also acted as the leader of the Employee Engagement Committee, which gave me experience in hosting meetings and balancing a budget. I am a versatile worker who loves to learn and work in a team, but I also enjoy the solace of working on my own. My favorite part of my current job is working with LCMS instruments and honing my laboratory skills.
