I have my BA in Child Psychology from University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), an Interpreter's certificate from Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC), and a MA in History from American University (AU).My interests vary across history, but my preferred focus is the Amarna period in 18th Dynast Egypt, as well as a cursory interest in the historical possibility of the Exodus story under Amenhotep II and his Asiatic campaigns as a result of said exeunt. My MA research was on the role of Black Deaf schools in the Jim Crow Era south (1867-1965) in the formation of BASL as a subdialect of ASL. I have formal training as an ASL Interpretor as well as a working knowledge of ASL.
