I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at Macquarie University and working part time in a manufacturing company. I'm looking forward to starting an internship in 2025 that is engaging and insightful to test my skills in the workforce. I've known that I wanted to be an engineer since choosing electives in high school. To me engineers are the people that use incredible technical knowledge to create solutions for the toughest modern problems. In the position of an engineer I could have an impact on the way that people live and the prosperity of our collective future. Seeing that impact will drive me to do my best and continually improve while supporting those around me to do the same. I'm always energised when working in a small team to build something or solve a practical problem, and I'm known to put in outstanding time and effort to ensure results. I love interpreting the ideas or requirements of others and developing the best solution or compromise. For example, the F1 In Schools project for STEM in Yr 10 when I combined my teams conceptual drawings to design a winning CO2 canister powered car. Or more recently in ENGG1000 during my first year, when my group of 7 designed a vehicle to quickly carry an egg over 3m and accurately transfer it into a container. I worked tirelessly to bring together the work of my 6 team mates and we successfully completed the task, within seconds of being the fastest too.I can't wait for the next design problem I'll face and collaborating with others to engineer the best solution.
