The Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson, Inc. (TECH, Inc.) is one of the largest and best known non-profits in Reno County. Our mission is to assist individuals with disabilities of all ages to live full and productive lives through advocacy, education, and quality supports. Our organization serves more than 500 children and 200 adults throughout Reno County, and employs 125 people.As Director of Marketing, I led an award-winning company re-brand project. This project included a new logo and overall look, as well as a strategic plan and execution. The re-brand extended beyond a look, and even beyond the marketing department. The effort has guided the decision making of the entire organization, pushing all of our employees to provide the best quality of services possible.The marketing department was also charged with fund development. I planned and executed several large fundraisers, as well as maintained donor relations and cultivated partnerships with area businesses. In 2014, $425,007 was raised for our organization.

I was the sole employee of the Community Development Division of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce. This division had its own 501(C)3 non-profit status. Our goal was to make Reno County a vibrant, healthy place where people choose to live and work.Responsibilities included: Creation and implementation of all programming, maintenance of relationships with community partners and funders, and facilitating advisory board meetings and managing a budget. Throughout my time at the Chamber, I was able to accomplish goals in each of my areas of focus. My work contributed to the City of Hutchinson's passing of a Complete Streets policy in October 2012. I raised more than $435,000 for trail and sidewalk development through grant writing, advocacy, collaboration, and fundraising. A program I developed called Intern Hutch proved successful in introducing young talent to Reno County. And the Young Professionals of Reno County increased membership 62% under my direction.

Reno County Communities That Care is a non-profit organization which promotes healthy youth behaviors such as being drug, alcohol, and tobacco free. I coordinated activities for a very active youth leadership group, and we also offered tested and effective parenting programs such as Strengthening Families Program 10-14, and Parenting Wisely.Primary job functions included:-Oversight and training of facilitator teams, working with families, and collaborating with area agencies to operate programs-Coordinating all activities related to youth leadership programming-Maintaining website and producing agency advertising and newsletters
