After the November 2022 and April 2023 campaign cycles, a lot of life happened. As a biopsy and a major surgery, a few funerals, an engagement, and a move to a new apartment flew by, I kept my professional momentum going. In addition to more substitute teaching and special ed paraprofessional work, I participated in trainings from Arena Academy and Victory Institute, and did some pro bono digital work through the School Board Project, an initiative from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson campaign alumni to connect seasoned campaign professionals to candidates in a handful of target states.

I put aside my marketing resume and portfolio to take up a part-time substitute teaching role for Skokie-Morton Grove School District 69 when injury and illness befell my family. I quickly moved to full time employment with Lincoln Junior High School and covered a long-term absence for the drama teacher for four weeks, developing curriculum as I went. Ultimately, I transitioned to a paraprofessional role to work one-on-one with disabled students for the remainder of the school year, and I used break times to put together the 2021-2022 yearbook.

After finishing my work on the 2020 election cycle, I took time to focus on finishing my degree, which I did in May of 2021. After that, I took a few months to spend time with family and friends and build my website, www.baileyroseboyle.com, which includes my portfolio. When a wave of injury and illness came over my family, I stopped progress towards my next job in advertising/marketing/public relations to get a flexible job closer to home with an immediate start.
