As a Project Engineer, I assist in managing the production flow of Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning projects for multi-family and commercial construction projects. Due to my background in Mechanical Engineering, I understand the fundamentals of how the systems I am working with operate. This knowledge, combined with my attention to detail and the experience I have gained thus far, has allowed me to be successful in excelling the progress of projects and in solving problems as they arise. There are numerous responsibilities that I carry out, some of which are included below: -Composing product data submittals and reviewing them to ensure the mechanical, electrical, and structural data will suffice -Reviewing mechanical plans for the purpose of: • Ensuring that all notes on the schedule will be accounted for when ordering equipment • Defining the design changes that occur when a new set of plans is released • Confirming that the controls system details will properly integrate with the entire mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system -Writing Request For Information (RFI) documents to obtain answers to questions that arise in the field -Participating in coordination meetings with the general contractor, other subcontractors, and the Engineer on Record -Performing regular site visits and conducting field walks to resolve any outstanding items with the field team -Producing Change Order documents following any design change -Conducting precise equipment take-offs -Communicating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing for equipment -Analyzing financial data to ensure that we are meeting our budgets
