Through my work as a student library assistant, I continue to improve my research techniques while also assisting my fellow peers in their research processes. I have also increased my comfortability in database work. My position within the library has allowed me to grow as a researcher, academic, and as a peer resource.

Through my volunteer work with Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts I travel weekly into Philadelphia to observe bail hearings. While observing, I take notes regarding each case and compose reflections in order to ensure a more equitable court system in Philly.

This summer I had the opportunity to intern at Elefterakis, Elefterakis, & Panek: a personal injury law firm. I recently finished my full-time internship in the Financial District of NYC. During my 10 weeks at EE&P, I grew professionally and intellectually. I worked alongside paralegals and learned a variety of legal skills. During my internship I drafted and served various legal documents: -30+ Transcript Exchanges- 5+ Default Letters- 10+ Notices of Entry- 10+ Notices of Discovery and Inspection- 3+ Notices of Deposition- 2+ Subpoenas- 40+ HIPAA authorizationsI also mastered two key legal systems: NYSCEF operations (The New York State Courts Electronic Filing System); and CloudLex (a legal systems manager). In addition to the legal databases, I also vastly improved my excel skills as I was in charge of updates and additions to my team's master spreadsheets for our 300+ cases. Lastly, I was fortunately able to attend a personal injury trial that settled for $3.5 million. I am immensely grateful for the experience and knowledge I gained from EE&P, and I am excited for a future in law!

While working with Attorney Kevin Cox, I drafted Notices of Appearance, Eviction Notices, and Requests for Discovery. I also engaged with clientele by answering questions and addressing concerns. I worked alongside the local court systems throughout my internship as well.
