Bethany joined The Center in 2012 and brings over fifteen years of experience in health care with seven years in the clinical laboratory. Since October 2017, Bethany serves as Program Director for The Center’s Delta Region Community Health Systems Development (DRCHSD) Program. As a Director, she guides program activities and consultation services to service rural hospitals with performance improvement initiatives. She also directs evaluation and process improvements of The Center’s programs to include the return on community investment (ROCI) analysis. Previously with The Center, Bethany managed the Rural Hospital Performance Improvement (RHPI) and the Small Rural Hospital Transition (SRHT) Projects.Before joining The Center, Bethany served as the Assistant Program Manager for the Kentucky Rural Health Works Program where she assisted Kentucky rural hospitals with community health needs assessments and provided leaders with economic impact analysis of local health care services. Prior to that, she served as a Program Coordinator with the Kentucky State Office of Rural Health where she assisted with the development and implementation of the Kentucky Rural Hospital Flexibility Program to support rural hospitals with conversion to critical access hospital designation. Bethany is board-certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). She attained a Master of Health Administration from the University of Kentucky and holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Bethany is certified as a Medical Technologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and holds a current Florida license in the clinical laboratory.
