As a maintainer of the omnibus-gitlab project, I help making GitLab easy to be installed in various systems and platforms. In that position, I implemented automation for various workflows like automating development of builder environments, release of AWS AMIs, Marketplace listings, collection and publishing of component licenses etc.Being part of the Distribution team, I also develop the helm charts for deploying GitLab to K8s environments where I implemented different features ensuring the smooth deployment/upgrade of the instance as well as making new features usable.I started and implemented the basic automation around various PeopleOps task like onboarding new members, announcing new hires and anniversaries etc. This work proved to be of great use to PeopleOps team, has grown a lot since and resulted in PeopleOps hiring a Full-Stack engineer to take it forward. I still act as a maintainer of the codebase, and help out the engineer in developing ideas and direction.
