Responsibilities- Building the new responsive front end for the Trade Me website using Angular.- Highly involved in analysing and designing the architecture for the front end solution.- Building new tools and implementing new programming patterns to improve the solution.- Working on Angular Server Side Rendering to improve the web application load times.- Improved the speed, efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment on TeamCity using build scripts and Docker containers, reducing the project build time by several minutes.- Extensively working on Angular Universal - Server Side Rendering.- Developing Web APIs, writing Unit and Integration tests.- Creating and maintaining npm libraries- Squad lead for a team of seven; managing the project work and designing the architecture for the team to start working on new features.- Mentoring fellow developers and junior developers and undertaking code reviews.- Up-skilling and training teams in various verticals in Trade Me.- Interviewing developers for vacancies in the team.- Practicing extreme programming methodology such as Pair Programming, Continuous Integration & Design Improvement.- Participating in Research and Development days; implementing and researching new ideas.- Exploring new ideas to improve the performance of the application.- Presenting to the team and wider company on Bazel, Angular training material, learnings from NDC Sydney & NgConf conferences and legacy code maintenance etc.- Writing internal wiki documents on coding standards to follow and best practices.
