Robbie Ferguson Email and Phone Number
I'm a Linux and Windows expert, strong in networking, security and working under-the-hood. My background is in programming (many languages, including Python, PHP, JavaScript, bash and several others), but as a seasoned broadcaster (multiple recipient of Top 100 Tech Podcasters award), I've found my niche in communication while still keeping active as a sysadmin via my full-time employ.I'm customer service oriented, with a big focus on cybersecurity. At my day job, from 2009 up until Q4 2022 I focused on ESET sales support for businesses of all sizes across Canada with a small assortment in the USA. I'm proud to be a multi-year recipient of ESET's MVP award and I am personally a member of the ESET Partner Council. In December, 2022, after nearly 14 years working in cybersecurity, my employer discarded my position and moved me to Helpdesk Level 2 (IT Support). In January 2023 I resigned from this position. The following month I began working for the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) in their IT department, starting my tenure in the role of Network Specialist and then moving to Senior IT Analyst as my permanent role. Working for them quickly confirmed that leaving my previous employ was a very good life decision.Outside my full-time work, I continue to host and produce the long-running YouTube channel, Category5 Technology TV, which is rocking the tech-education space with "Hollywood style" visual effects. I've welcomed people who have been in space on my show (Mark Shuttleworth), and people who pretend to have been to space (creators of Seth MacFarlane's "The Orville"). I have never been to space, but I have been inside The Matrix and was telefragged by an agent. I've battled Vecna in the Upside Down, and have been blown up by a creeper.I've been featured within a Netflix documentary in my role as a tech news anchor. I have a supplemental channel called "The Show Show" where I teach video production techniques.Looking forward to connecting with you!

Company President, Editor Producer, ActorCategory5 Technology Tv Sep 2007 - PresentOntario, CanadaAs Category5 is a small creative company, I wear many hats. Having operated since 2007, we've seen a lot of change. In 2023, Category5 TV is a video production company utilizing cutting-edge augmented reality video production techniques. While we continue to publish our own tech-education videos, our focus is on producing content for vendors and companies promoting their own products, and educational content such as training videos or product walk-through screencasts. As Company President I oversee all operations and interact with the staff, play an instrumental role in Public Relations and facilitate partnerships with customers, vendors and advertisers.I am one of the writers for Category5 Technology TV (our own tech-ed content), and play the leading (self-named) role on the program. I'm typecast as a bald nerd.On the production end, I play many roles including videographer, cinematographer, audio engineer and Director Producer. I am also the lead editor, and am responsible for chromakeying and rotoscoping, as well as color grading and sound design. With all my video creation experience, we established "The Show Show" where I educate viewers on what I know about video production. That program is small, but growing fast as some of the lessons have really turned heads in the creator space.I oversee our online presence, with tasks such as posting finished videos to YouTube and other platforms, performing SEO to ensure best possible performance on those platforms, and procuring advertising to promote the videos. -

Radio PersonalityLife 100.3 Jul 2000 - Oct 2002Barrie, OntarioI was part-time from July 14, 2000 to September 1, 2001 when I was promoted to full-time. 10 days later (September 11, 2001), I was the on-air DJ.
