I have worked for most of my professional life in East Africa as an Africa's power project specialist with specific expertise in renewable energy. I was the project engineer on the 310 MW, EUR 623-million Lake Turkana Wind Power project (https://ltwp.co.ke/) in Kenya, now in operations. In 2014, I set up SandRose Ltd (https://sandrose-consulting.com/), an African project management and consulting firm formed in Kenya and specialising in Energy Transition, Climate Change and Development. We have supported some of the largest wind and solar PV projects in the region, on behalf of international investors, local developers and lenders.Passionate by Africa and climate action, I set up in 2022, Arbreen LLC, to develop super-scale reforestation projects in East-Africa, with sustainability and community participation at the heart of its method and basing its business model on the sales of high-quality carbon credits.
