performed receptionist duties, received and processed equipment brought in for repairs, monitored repairs in-house and sent out-of-house, scheduled installs, initiated and completed work orders, entered time into payroll

Negotiating, booking and scheduling loads for approximately 20 drivers. Reviewing brokers' contracts and pay history. Dispatching drivers with the pertinent information including routing, directions, appointments, fueling, etc. Extensive use of telephone and computer for load research, fuel pricing, satellite tracking, weather and road closures, dispatching, repairs and routing. Computer programs include Microsoft Office suite and others specific to routing, dispatching and negotiating pricing. Monitor A/R and make calls when necessary. Orientation of drivers and supervising of new dispatchers.

Scheduled trucking from producers and dispatched drivers. Did bookkeeping for both businesses including payroll, A/R, A/P, fuel tax and livestock production records. Programs included QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Access and PigChamp.

Began at Olsen's as bookkeeper and moved into parts, then parts manager. Hired by Chesley's in Mankato. Several years later, I was transferred as parts manager for their new satellite store in Sherburn. Did counter sales, merchandising, placing and receiving orders, stocking and inventory control. Provided support to service departments with research, estimates, repair orders and warranty.
