Barbara Anderman currently serves a Governing Board Member and National Leadership Council Chair for the Carol Emmott Foundation, a distinctive Fellowship for women leaders across health sectors that aims to address gender equity for women leaders in healthcare. The purpose of the Foundation is to develop a cohort of women leaders who are networked and ready to move into senior leadership positions where they can create transformational change throughout all sectors of health. Barbara is also a former Executive Search Consultant with Russell Reynolds Associates Health Services practice. Throughout her 12 plus years, she dedicated her time to the Health Services Practice, working within both for-profit and non-profit sectors. She was also a leader in the Health Transformation practice, specializing in recruiting key digital talent into executive -level leadership roles in specialty areas. In particular, she focused on clinical and technology leadership positions in health systems. Additionally, Barbara is known for her work leading a number of Leadership and Succession assignments within complex healthcare organizations. Her work has helped to positions these organizations to respond to the challenge of change.Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Barbara was COO of a large, non-profit organization, a Vice President of Operations for a national for-profit, post-acute health services company and a Director of Rehabilitation for a market-leading hospital. In 1998, Barbara began working for a leading global recruiting firm, specializing in healthcare services. She joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2004, retiring from the firm in October 2016.Barbara received her B.A. from Long Island University and her master's degree from the University of Colorado.
