  I have done at least 18 projects for Robert Half, over the years, and I have enjoyed the opportunities they have afforded me. My favorite saying is "there is more than one way to skin a cat". Now I love cats, but you'll get the point. I'm usually called in when folks are stuck in an old process state of mind. They've moved on to newer, faster, more efficient software but nobody really thought about their old paperwork flows not matching their new systems and processes. They are still trying to process paperwork, forms, etc. the same way they did with the old programs and that just won't work. Accounting staff start complaining that they now have more work to do and it was suppose to be less. It usually takes bringing in a new set of eyes to sit down with people, watch their processes and give them a make over that will be faster, which was the intention with the new software in the first place.Many companies are now using multiple platforms to process manufacturing and accounting data. Sometimes it takes another view, from outside the company, to assess the problems and come up with possible solutions that couldn't be realized because the situation needed a fresh prospective.Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger.......there is always a solution. I fully document the processes I design and train staff to use the new process.
