As Assistant Manager; trained new employees, was responsible for bank deposits and coordinating charitable donations, opened and closed the store as key holder, supported and coordinated with the team for the store's in-house craft blog, helped receive new products into the inventory system.

Helped to coordinate and curate the work of four radically different visual artists, as well as reception and performances for three evenings. Provided direct logistical and curatorial support, helping with installation, publicity/promotion, catering, event reception and the writing of artists’ statements. Personally curated and produced an evening of group theater installation – coordinating five different casts and directors in producing a group reading of a full length play.

As dramaturg, worked hand in hand with composer/librettist Shaina Taub in rewriting and revising her new musical for production and publication. As assistant director, supported director Sam Pinkleton in conceiving, staging, and producing show. Show’s initial rehearsal schedule included the two week period that NYU was shut down due to Hurricane Sandy, with the rest of the production team I helped to coordinate a revised calendar and rehearsal plan that allowed the production to open on time as required by NYU’s larger production schedule.

Designed five Theater for Young Audiences shows in the Kidstuff program and four Experimental shows in the 2nd Stage Wedge program. Assisted on two Main Stage shows. Worked in tandem with a costume shop to build and maintain costumesAs Lab Company Costume Design Fellow, taught weeklong intensive design course with local children aged 6-12. Students participated in group discussion doing basic text analysis on Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are, and then over the course of the week individually created their own scenic, lighting, costume, and sound designs. On the final day these elements came together, and students discussed how each design of the world changed the feeling of the story for the audience.

Assisted in costume construction for premiere production of Kenneth Lonergan’s Medieval Play, designed by Michael Krass. Performed machine and hand sewing, some dyeing and distressing, costume construction and alteration.

As Performing Arts counselor for children aged 4-11, designed daily curriculum that was rigorous yet flexible enough to accommodate students of varying levels of experience and areas of performing arts interest, culminating in weekly talent show in which they presented their work to the entire camp. Students explored forms such as dance, stand up comedy, clowning, music and singing, sketch comedy, drama, and everything in between. More introverted and stage-shy students explored design, tech production, and directing. As Sewing Counselor, taught basic hand and machine sewing to children aged 4-11.

Technical support and front of house staffing for independently run performing arts and music venue, featuring a nationally-renowned weekly Comedy Night, live theater, acoustic and amplified music. As Box Office Associate, was first point of contact for artists, audience members, and colleagues at theater. Ran Box Office, set up and sold concessions, trained ushers, ran lights, assisted with live sound, maintained space, kept track of petty cash and submitted Box Office profit and expense reports to manager, performed opening and closing tasks, and whatever else was needed.

Working collaboratively with creative/educational team, led approximately 25 students of diverse backgrounds and ages ranging from 3-13 in two productions; one of a published play and another of a devised piece. Led group in age appropriate and engaging creative activities, theatrical and movement exercises, and large-scale group and individual craft projects in which we organically created the shows’ design. Taught devised theater via storytelling and improvisation exercises. Both productions were presented to parents and congregation, helped produce and coordinate those events.
