HEY THERE! I'm Barb Claypool and currently am a senior compliance operations specialist in Ohio with 10 years' experience in this specific field, however, I have 29 years of experience in the gas industry. I have filled many shoes throughout those 29 years of which includes a customer service representative answering phone calls to a service technician who worked in the field to a field operations leader, sub for operations center manager and now, senior compliance operations specialist. Currently, my daily tasks include, but aren't limited to, the following: providing guidance and decision making all the way from executives to leadership to the field to engineers, and the like concerning standards, training, on the job paperwork requirements, root cause analysis, federal code and regulations, etc. Also, organizing, facilitating, assisting, leading and researching for internal and external audits, creating and facilitating DIMP informational sessions, regulatory requirements, tracking and executing on DIMP changes and scheduling monthly and quarterly movement meetings, researching the OAC, CFR, Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Building Code to determine how these interact with our procedures, train new compliance specialists, Think Reliability Trained, UAT Electronic DPI testing and roll out and Devonway UAT Teams, just to mention a few. I am a self-motivated, independently productive individual. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and learn and it hasn't been a smooth, easy journey but it's been well worth every step.
