About Barbara Collette

Over my 40 year career in healthcare I have experienced a diverse array of positions and responsibilities; First as an RN, and then as a PharmD. Each phase has built on the previous to strengthen my collective reasoning. After many years in the hospital arena, namely Critical Care, I transitioned to community care, then transitioned into teaching and now back to my beloved hospital arena. After becoming a PharmD, I spent 7 years in community pharmacy. Then my two worlds blended with a collegiate position as the professor of pharmacology at Polk State College. In this role I introduced first semester Nursing students to the nuances of pharmacology. This position allowed me to utilize my 11 years of college in both Nursing and Pharmacy while grooming future Nurses on the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork. Currently I have rejoined my passion for the care of the acutely ill as I enjoy a part-time position at Advent Health as a Clinical /staff Pharmacist Life is amazing! Professional Licenses: Registered PharmacistVaccinating PharmacistRN
