Barbara is currently the Niche Project Manager for Canadian and U.S. police records management projects and as a previous member of Waterloo Regional Police Service, Barbara played a key role in the successful implementation of the Niche RMS system.Barb holds a thorough and detailed knowledge of Niche RMS functionality and Canadian police agency workflow. Barb is a trained and experienced Project Manager, Business Fit Analyst and Trainer. Before joining Niche Technology, Barbara had a 24-year career with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, where she held a number of positions within the Records and Court Bureaus leading to Records Supervisor. As part of the Information Technology Branch she led a team to the successful implementation and training of the Niche RMS system.Barbara was the Business Analyst Supervisor overseeing the agency consortium of business experts.As a project Manager, Barb is responsible for managing Niche RMS COTS software implementation projects, including:• Working with the Customer’s project team, as well as skillful interaction with agency officials, to manage the Business fit process• Analyzing and assisting with customer business processes.• Effectively coordinating communication and project work between Niche Technology and customer project teams.• Assisting and advising customers on RMS technical and functional matters, including software upgrades and implementation.• Providing support and troubleshooting for the customer project teamAs Business fit Analyst and Training Manager, Barb is responsible for:• Assisting customer project teams in setting up the base Niche RMS system, which includes course development, training, gap identification and agency requirement definition, and Business fit analysis• Demonstrating product features to new and potential clients.• Providing ongoing customer support and training to existing customers.
