-Developed yeast strains through metabolic pathway engineering (molecular cloning techniques) that produced cellulosic ethanol and co-metabolized glucose, xylose, and arabinose sugars.-Screened yeast strains under aerobic/anaerobic cell culture conditions. Methods included mini-bottle fermentation, BioLector microbioreactor, ANKOM RF gas production fermentation system. Analyzed biomass and metabolites (HPLC).-Developed gel, RT-qPCR, and QuantiGene system (ELISA-style) assays.-Using above assays, analyzed dsRNA (large-scale produced) degradation under environmental conditions, protective materials, and applied to plants.

-Conducted both in-vitro and in-vivo research for the Department of Radiation Oncology. -Human glioblastoma and prostate cancer cell models were used in cell assays as well as in nude mouse models for tumor xenograft studies. -Drugs and/or radiation were tested on these cell and animal models as single agent or combinatory therapy.
