The position sits in the Core Management Committee and is responsible for the management and operation of the People Department. It is regarded as a strong business partner providing direction and insights on people strategies to realize business goals . The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the AOC, and also reports to the Group Head of People in Malaysia.

The position is responsible for the management and operation of the HR Department. As a member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT)/Country Management Committee (CMC), the position is regarded as a strategic business partner in the realization of its business directions. The position reports to the ASEAN Territory Head of HR.Specifically, provides direction and leadership in the following areas: - Overall Organisation Development (People Strategy and Structure) - Human Resource Management (policies and systems in place in the areas of people selection, development, performance management, employee relations and discipline) - Change Management - Provide timely and accurate Human Resource information for business decisions- Employment of effective HR systems and technology in the provision of HR services - Promotion of quality work-life and healthy company culture

With the retirement of the ER Manager, the ER division was added to the responsibilities as Head of the Compensation & Benefits Division. Areas of responsibility cover the formulation, updating and implementation of all policies related to compensation & benefits and ER, as well as the Code of Conduct, HR dept. budget preparation, retention programs for mission-critical positions, competency profiling, job evaluation/analysis, rewards & recognition and innovation programs. Designated as Deputy VP for HR.
