About Barbara Waugh, Ph.D.

Executive in Residence & Instructor at U C Berkeley Haas School of Business and in College of Engineering, Barb retired as director from Hewlett-Packard after 25 years using her successive positions as worldwide company recruiting manager, personnel director & worldwide change director for HP Labs & University Relations Director for worldwide strategy with focus on US, Africa and the Middle East. Lessons learned and taught feature in her book, Soul in the Computer (Inner Ocean Press, 2001), enthusiastically reviewed by Dow-Jones, Fast Company, Business 2.0 and the San Francisco Chronicle & featured in numerous publications and talks. Breakthrough programs for women and minority recruiting & mentoring earned her Management Legacy awards from the HP Technical Women's Conference & the HP Deaf and Hard of Hearing Forum.
