I have practiced government contracts and construction litigation for more than 35 years. I am ranked in Chambers, Washingon DC Superlawyers and in Best Lawyers in America. Recently, I have become a mediator and an arbitrator in addition to practicing law. • I litigate claims on behalf of owners, general contractors and subcontractors in federal and state courts and before arbitral tribunals. • I also draft and negotiate construction contracts for developers and contractors. • I also routinely represent government contractors in claims against the federal government. This includes performance and payment bond disputes; representing government contractors in False Claims Act investigations and disputes; and representing government contractors in bid protests and claims at the various Boards of Contract Appeals and in the Court of Federal Claims.My goal is to assist clients in finding a path to resolve issues, eliminate disputes and to find sensible solutions to complicated legal issues. Separately, in the same vein, I also am trained as a mediator and arbitrator, and perform those services when requested. Outside of the practice of law, I have coached boy's lacrosse, currently compete a horse (Stanley) in a sport called eventing where we won the American Eventing Championships in Atlanta in 2012, and raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by being on the board since 2006, and through my competing in Olympic distance triathlons. I am also an Associate Trustee and on the Lacrosse Board at the University of Pennsylvania from which I graduated in 1975.
