Driven by a bold commitment and values, I set out to found the Peace Innovation Initiative. Our mandate was clear: to create a global practice of active peace, founded and inspired by innovation. Therefore we are collectively amplifying the intersection of sustainability, innovation, technology, and those who are invested in sustainable impact.PII was first presented by UN Secretary-General António Guterres as part of the University for Peace (UPEACE) report to the 76th session of the General Assembly. The report subsequently received 126 co-sponsorships from Member States, a record-breaking level of support never before experienced in the University’s 42-year history; the Peace Innovation Initiative is the new accelerator for peace practice. Since that time, we’ve launched a campaign to accelerate peace innovation, held various cross-sectoral convenings at the UN, and incubated a global fellowship to explore the intersections of innovation, impact, and active peace.Additionally, I'm passionately committed to ending violence against women and girls and achieving gender equality. My mission is to deconstruct the root causes of violence against women and girls through education and collaborations with individuals and organizations that can build capacity and momentum that empowers all and further aids our mission of building a global culture of peace.
