Barb is currently Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada's Chief Internal Auditor.Previously, Barb was a partner with Deloitte in Atlantic Canada’s Risk Advisory practice with more than 30 years of public accounting and risk management expertise, spanning public and private sectors and various industries and retired in May 2020. Barb was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work concerning internal controls over financial reporting (information technology and business process controls) for all of Deloitte's significant clients in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Barb also served as the lead engagement partner for a number of outsourced and co-sourced internal audit clients, focusing on the Public Sector as well as Energy & Resources. Barb also led Deloitte's Atlantic Service Auditor Reporting services (CSAE 3416, SOC1, and SOC2 reporting), assisting clients in readiness as well as attestation.Barb is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and has Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
