About Barb Valle
With over 25 years in educational leadership, I am a retired PK-12 administrator with a passion for helping people grow and develop their leadership skills. I am an adjunct Aurora University adjunct professor in their Masters of Educational Leadership program. I freelance for the Illinois Principals Association writing on-demand leadership courses for ELN and teaching an online Administrator Academy on bullying. As a mentor for beginning principals, I stay connected to the changes in our Illinois schools and the challenges that leaders face. However, speaking to high school students about their own leadership journey brings me the most joy and fulfillment. In today's world, young adults do not see many role models who demonstrate leadership and character. I believe we must be deliberate in teaching them these skills and cultivating their untapped potential.
