Description:CITI bank’s new product Global Rewards will launch. Global regards will calculate the benefits and/or points based on customer number. Previously there were separate calculations for bank’s debit card and credit cards. Finally these files are sent to Epsilon, a 3rd party. Business decides zones and upon which the work is carried into. Initially these development and enhancements were done for Columbia. Now enhancements are going for Middle America countries. MTS is a very big product, which supports multiple functionalities. All functionalities are in a phase of conversion from all Video logic to Browser UI. Video to Browser has been implemented to make the Money Transfer System product (MTS) SOA compliant. There were two phases as per implementation. Phase 1 mainly involved stripping of the business logic from the screen logic. Phase 2 has introduced V2B screen with the underlying COBOL stripped business logic. Spring-based Browser with User Interface (UI) has been written to replace existing Video and Java Struts-based user interface. Similarly, underlying COBOL codes has been modified to couple with newly modified Java code. Java modules generate Events which enters into Backend COBOL as requests which are processed and subsequently responses are generated. Finally the values that Java codes fetches from COBOL modules are shown to the UI screens. All requests that come to COBOL event modules are stored in an IBM Websphere MQ. They are fetched and consequently processed as First Come First Serve order.• Phase 1 required extensive knowledge of the modules to be worked on for designing. • Designed approximately 10 modules including 2 most complex modules such as relationship file and liquidity management in the MTS system. • This design was also followed by Coding of the modules followed by the regression testing and CIT.• End-to-End testing with Silk Central testing tool with predefined test cases. • Writing new COBOL Event modules to accept request and generate response. Adding new business logics to make compatible with Java programs.• Modifying old COBOL modules to make compatible with the new modules.• Preparing Request and Response metadata with the corresponding payloads for testing of COBOL modules. • Setting up Websphere MQ with proper commands.• Setting up Tomcat server with the instructions given by the clients.• Bugfixing of the modules where expected behavior deviates from actual behavior.
