A part time job, working in the kitchen taught me how to cope with stressful environments while striving for perfection. From Kitchen Porter to Chef de Partie, I had worked my way up the ranks of the company, proving my ability to learn and consistently expand my knowledge and responsibilities. High stamina achieved through 12 hour shifts that were often physically taxing, while balancing large quantity food prep and cooking to order meals. Often worked independently in the kitchen, I would be relied upon to produce a high quality service while maintaining the kitchens sanitary standards during closing and quiet hours of the day.

Short Drama Film. 15 minutes.Writer and Director.A depressed man spirals as he struggles to open up about his mental health.As the writer, director and producer of the short film, I oversaw every aspect of the films inception. From developing the idea, scheduling and casting, to later down the line where I honed my skills for narrative film editing to complete the film.I worked closely with my cast and crew to create a visual language for the film to make it tonally consistent and engaging. Primarily using close ups and singles, we were able to convey the isolation of the main character. Furthermore, these intimate shots meant subtle performance was key and developing the character with the actor was a joy.Made on less than £200, the film is currently on a film festival tour, having been selected to three and winning Best Original Screenplay at the London Vaporetto Shorts 2023.

My credits include assistant director on Sisters of House Black, a made for YouTube film with over 9 million views. I learnt on set management, communicating between director and HODs. Technical and logistical problem solving, including timekeeping and adapting to schedule, whilst learning skills in camera and sound department. Working with a tight budget and small crew, creative solutions were necessary to cut down on time and spending.
