Over the last four decades I have tried complex, high income and asset matrimonial and family law cases, international child custody cases, and jury and bench trials in civil and criminal defense matters. I draw on my strengths: experience, credibility with both judges and adversaries, maturity, dedication and gravitas, to give effective representation and wise counsel.Mindful of the inefficiencies of the court system and the high cost of getting divorced, I formed my own matrimonial and family law practice determined to apply my experience and wisdom to provide high quality, creative and result-oriented representation to my clients. Now, without the constraints that come with being part of a larger law firm structure, I am intent on providing services in line with my core values. When not in the office, I indulge in my passion for music, which I fell in love with when I was in grade school. I started playing guitar as soon as I persuaded my parents that classical piano was not for me – my first successful appeal. While in college I performed as a singer-guitarist, both as a solo performer and in bands, playing acoustic, slide and electric guitars, and I continue to play for friends and family and for my own enjoyment. A devoted father, I coached my two sons in soccer and baseball, imparting in them my love for athletics, competition and teamwork. Now that they are far from the nest, I enjoy indulging my golden retriever, whose admirable ability to fetch is only surpassed by her inability to “drop it.”
