Barry Serebnick joined Helmer. Conley & Kasselman, P.A. after a highly successful 20-year career as an Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor and three years in private practice. At HC&K since August of 2015, he has focused his practice areas on criminal, juvenile, and municipal defense, while continuing to work on a variety of civil matters.Juvenile delinquency is an area of the law where special knowledge is critically important. Barry is currently handling complex waiver matters for the office and has been sought after by outside law firms for his expertise in this area. Additionally, Barry's knowledge of the juvenile process (which is significantly different that the criminal process) has allowed him to achieve outstanding result for his clients. Barry has been recognized nationally for his work in Juvenile Detention reform; advocating, even as a Prosecutor, for the fair and and just treatment of Juveniles in the Juvenile Justice System. He has been a member of the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention committee, the Monmouth County Youth Services Commission, the Monmouth County Domestic Violence Working Group and the New Jersey Council for Juvenile Justice System Improvement.
