Head of the radiation and radioactivity calibration and testing laboratories at GE Healthcare Limited from 2008 to 2014, with 16 years’ previous experience as Deputy Head. The role focused on my technical/analytical skills, as a scientist, and as Deputy Quality Assurance Manager for both laboratories.The role was to provide day to day technical and quality supervision of the calibration and testing laboratory’s activities which included primary and secondary analytical techniques traceable to international laboratories, gamma-ray spectroscopy, dispensing operations, ensuring compliance with international standard BS 17025:2005, MHRA, FDA, and site principles. I proactively took accountability for the role as technical reviewer of many of the sites measurement projects with particular expertise in GMP compliance.Appointed UKAS approved signatory for both laboratories within GE Healthcare Limited in my first year in the role. Working for the laboratories has underlined my skills in GMP, analytical techniques and metrology, in a cross functional pharmaceutical/life sciences environment.
