As a (C4I) senior engineer I provide support to the Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP), in the form of integration, implementation, maintenance, and site support for Army Mission Command Systems (MCS). I troubleshoot technical issues, distance support, and implement solutions for hardware, software, system interfaces and network issues for MCS. As the ISIT (Information Systems Integration Team) C4I senior engineer I also provides instruction and coaching to brigade and battalion battle staff personnel on the operational employment and TTPs for their MCS. I provide all the necessary expertise to ensure that units receiving MCPST training are able to leverage their organic MCS by providing integration support, conducting system audits and pre-exercise/training system checkouts. As the ISIT Lead I lead and manage a team of up to six personnel who perform technical and training support duties which address Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) integration requirements relating to mission command systems and unit staff training exercises. I currently lead and manage a team of six personnel who perform technical and training support duties which address Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) integration requirements relating to mission command systems and unit staff training exercises. This includes serving as the principal MCTSP POC for planning, preparing, executing, and assessing Events II and III, Mission Command Systems Integration Training (MCSIT) Program. I attend quarterly Unit Set Fielding (USF) conferences. Simultaneous duties include performing the Knowledge Management (KM) function within the TADSS Team and for MCTSP Site Managers; training the customer’s KM personnel in the development of KM structure, aiding with their KM Mission Command Knowledge System, and assisting the customer’s subordinate units without KM sections to apply KM. My current position has me working directly with our customer, to include coordinating with the G-6/S-6 to ensure that the unit’s technical network supports knowledge creation, organization, application, and transfer across the unit. I am also responsible to understand the functions of the customer’s information systems and other technical networks and how to best use them to integrate the Mission Command products into the common operational picture. My everyday responsibilities include managing, scheduling, performance, and internal training program for a six-employee team.

I provide assistance and expertise to MTC customers and Commander’s Operation and Training Assistants (COTAs) in support of full spectrum exercises. I perform various networking/systems functions, integrating assorted ABCS (BCS, MCS, BCS3, FBCB2, AFATDS, ASAS) systems utilizing simple routed local area networks, into functioning TOC's as well as integrating those systems seamlessly with JLCCTC 5.3 (Entity Resolution Federation) which is DIS and HLA compliant simulations, to provide a constructive training environment also serving as an Administrator for these systems. I am currently responsible for the integration of other Training Aids and Devices such as Virtual Battle Space 2(VBS2). I also currently carry a National Secret Security Clearance.

I am responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians with the technical integration of Live-Virtual-Constructive(JLCCTC-ERF,VBS2)& Gaming devices in support of complex constructive exercises. I design, diagram, configure, set up, troubleshoot and operate all aspects of the JLCCTC-ERF to support a constructive Brigade level training scenario. I provide assistance and expertise to MTC customers and Commander’s Operation and Training Assistants (COTAs) in support of full spectrum exercises. I perform various networking/systems functions, integrating assorted ABCS (BCS, MCS, BCS3, FBCB2, AFATDS, ASAS) systems utilizing simple routed local area networks, into functioning TOC's as well as integrating those systems seamlessly with JLCCTC 5.3 (Entity Resolution Federation) which is DIS and HLA compliant simulations, to provide a constructive training environment also serving as an Administrator for these systems. Develop and manage a virtual network infrastructure VM ESX Servers(Sun X4200), 115 Virtual ABCS Machines and 10 VLAN’s (Virtual Local Area Networks) also serve as the Administrator/Account Manager for the Virtual Desktop Manager and Domain Controller(Active Directory). Built a file share server(SAMBA) and two web servers for the organization. I evaluate hardware and software for a complex network to determine which products best meet organization and customer needs for recommendation as well as manage software changes and updates. Continually troubleshoot and resolve problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications. I prepare quarterly and yearly counseling's for 8 employees. I am responsible for submitting employees for job referrals or spot bonuses.

My duties and accomplishments as a BCTC-FTIG Training Specialist include developing Programs of Instruction and original training plans and materials for teaching the MCS Planners Course, Battle Staff Integration Course, MCS Operator Course and Digital Systems Integration Course as well as providing instruction for those courses to supported National Guard and DBSP Employees. I performed various networking/systems functions, integrating assorted ABCS (BCS, MCS, BCS3, FBCB2, AFATDS, ASAS) systems utilizing simple routed local area networks, into functioning TOC's as well as integrating those systems seamlessly with JLCCTC 5.3. I was awared numorous spot bonuses for implementing new and innovative training tools to our program. I was responsible for being the first to implement the use of VMWare Virtual machine and ESX4 to better manage our ABCS systems. I was the key person for the first implement the use of a simulation within the EPPLRS network. This was a Key to success for the 56th STRYKER BDE pre deployment exercise. This was the beginning of Live/Virtual constructive exercises within all Battle Command Training Centers.
