MayorTown Of Windsor Colorado Apr 2024 - May 2024Windsor, Co, UsI was elected as Mayor in April of 2024. I was removed from office on May 22, 2024 after a resident filed a lawsuit challenging the election. There was a court hearing and a Weld County District Judge nullified the election, undermining the will of the voters. The judge ruled that the Town Clerk misinterpreted the Town Charter. I was removed from office at no fault of my own. The remaining Town Board members chose not to appeal and appointed someone else as Mayor. I was not allowed to finish the last 2 years of my District-2 term, a seat I won in 2022 with 70% of the vote. The Town Board appointed someone else to my District-2 seat as well. I am very confident that I would had been a very effective Mayor for the Town of Windsor. The Windsor Town Board is comprised of a Mayor and six Town Board members. As the Mayor, I represented constituents and made legislative decisions for the good of the community. I presided over meetings of the Town Board, and wasrecognized as the head of the Town government for all ceremonial purposes. The Mayor is a member of the Town Board and has the same voting powers as any Town Board Member. -

The Authority’s ongoing responsibility is to plan and construct a public trail on the right-of-way, maintain the trail corridor, and seek funding for the trail through grants and contributions.

Behavioral Health Policy CouncilLarimer County Apr 2020 - May 2024Fort Collins, Colorado, UsI served as Chair for 2-years and Vice-Chair for 1-year. The Behavioral Health Policy Council's (BHPC) purpose is to foster regional coordination and cooperation in matters relating to the provision of a continuum of behavioral health services in Larimer County. The BHPC’s Impact Fund Grant Program allows Larimer County to invest directly in programs that serve the behavioral health needs of our community. In our first 4 years (2019-2022) over $8.5 million of grants were distributed. Construction is underway on the new Larimer County Behavioral Health Acute Care Facility at the new Longview Campus. We will provide care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders. A comprehensive care team will be available 24/7 to accept, assess and assure care for all individuals who arrive at the facility. An intake team will be available for a seamless transfer of care for those in crisis from family, law enforcement officers, and other first responders. A highly-trained care team will provide the appropriate level of care for the appropriate amount of time and coordinate a care plan before being discharged. These efforts are possible thanks to Larimer County residents that voted to increase taxes for a period of 20 years with all revenue to be used for preventative, early identification, intervention, support, and treatment mental health services for youth, adults, families and senior citizens who are residents of Larimer County including Berthoud, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Johnstown, Loveland, Timnath, Wellington, and Windsor. -
