I've been affiliated in one way or another with D2L since 2003. As a customer, I watched the company grow from 2003 to 2011. As an employee since 2012, I've been able to see first-hand the focus that the company employees put on the customer, the product, and the goal of improving the way the world learns.Prior to D2L, I worked as an independent consultant under the business name Excellence in e-Education. Before that, I served as the Vice President of Technology and e-Campus at Lake Superior College (LSC) in Duluth, MN from June 2001 to March 2011. After obtaining a B.S. degree and a Masters in Accounting from Arizona State University, I served as an accounting faculty member at various universities including ASU, Florida Atlantic University, University of Minnesota Duluth, and for six years at LSC. I left the faculty ranks after 17 years to become the senior administrator in charge of online learning at LSC. As Chief Technology Officer of the college, I had primary responsibility for the Computer Services department, Web and Information Services, and the e-Campus or Lake Superior Connect.
