I am the founderProfessionally I am retained by high-impact individuals, family offices, leaders, and their organizations to provide independent thought, original perspectives, solutions to complex scenarios, and trusted connections to exceptional humans across generations, geographies, disciplines and ideologies.I am also lead Seven Generations Africa (“7GA”) is a new breed of independent family office along side a peer-to-peer private membership network. Our mission is to empower our member clients to better preserve and grow their wealth, to elevate heir readiness for stewardship, and access exclusive global networks for connection, all while creating legacies that span generations and support the development of Africa. Mission and Purpose:My mission is to use the wide-ranging insights, perspectives, and networks drawn from these past 5 decades to advise intentional leaders, organizations, and family offices on realizing their potential for greater fulfillment and performance- internally and externally- through a rare combination of knowledge, wisdom, and grit, coupled with deliberation cultivation and application of mindfulness and contemplative practices. My desire and capacity to do this work emerges from my improbable life journey which began in Birmingham, Alabama in the 1960s and progressed through all 50 states and 76 countries to date. Along the way, I earned degrees from Yale College and Harvard Business School and became a banker, serial entrepreneur, Fortune 500 executive, economic policymaker, and executive advisor in key sectors and iconic institutions, including Wall Street, Corporate America, Hollywood, and Silicon Valley. The journey also propelled me into high-trust roles in esteemed Family Offices, The White House, the U.S. State Department, and the Department of Commerce.From this unique journey I have formed deep relationships of trust with exceptional citizens, experts, and world-shapers around the globe. They have endowed me with access, an expansive range of perspectives, and a heightened appreciation for human differences of every kind-- all beneficial to navigating to success in our increasingly complex world of opportunities and challenges.
