New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) oversees the nationwide road network with a user base of approximately 3.6 million kiwis.I work within an agile cross-functional product team to design well-crafted experiences informed by research that solves real problems for our users.Some of the activities include;- Collaborate with other Designers, Project Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers to drive features from research to implementation and roadmap capabilities for UX features.- Leverage user research to influence stakeholders and improve product designs and strategy.- Bridge business stakeholders, the customer, and the product experience building consensus across organizational boundaries.- Facilitate and/or observe usability testing of prototypes, customer interviews and field research.- Develop sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to validate concepts and hypotheses with the end-users.- Prepare effective handover materials which communicate how the design should look and behave throughout interaction flows and journeys (e.g. User flow diagrams, design specifications, experience/interaction specifications etc).- Promote design thinking across the business by giving presentations, to build the team culture and influence other teams to think in terms of delivering a thoughtful, elegant and pleasant user experience.- Build and maintain the NZTA Design System.
