Develop software in support of cybersecurity operations. Includes ingestion, storage, and indexing of hundreds of terabytes of netflow and dns queries using Scala, Python, Spark / Yarn / Hdfs, Kafka, Hbase, etc.

Developed a multi-tenant hybrid cloud/on-premises application that enables data scientists to operationalize their models, and empowers management with key intelligence about how data science is utilized in their business. System consists of an AngularJS web client, cloud-hosted Python Tornado ReST API servers, and data-adjacent Python endpoint agents. The server component scales horizontally and instances communicate via RabbitMQ. Agents are installed in proximity to the data, and communicate to the command and control server via web sockets. Models can be executed in batch, or real-time. Statistics and reporting data are returned to the server, but the tenant's data remains in the tenant's own data stores.Unlike competitors, the system is model language agnostic, using user-installed software on the agent system to handle model execution. It utilizes many open source technologies including AngularJS, Python Tornado, SQLAlchemy, Redis, RabbitMQ, and PostgreSQLMentored cybersecurity data scientists on software development practices such as code re-usability, deployment, and data engineering. Provided subject matter expertise on business computinginfrastructure topics like Active Directory domain communications, DNS, and email. Helped IT create and optimize our first Spark on Hadoop cluster. Scripted the export of terabytes of HP ArcSight data into parquet files for analysis in Spark.

Lynkage was a small ISP who's employees included myself and the owner. We offered dial-up Internet access, email and web hosting. I built and set up the web, email, DNS, and internal network systems and infrastructure. I gained lots of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining NT 4, Windows 2000, IIS, Qmail, Exchange, Bind, RedHat GNU/Linux, etc. On The Colorado Computer Builders side, we did some PC and server building along with network setup for small business.In the end, the owner went on to other things and so I started Plexus with my friend Bobby.
