Reporting directly to the owner my main responsibilities were managing the day to day operations of the business ranging from managing staff and ordering supplies to welcoming guests and dealing with complaints.

Responsible for driving 9 seater minibuses between Geneva Airport and the French resorts within the Portes du Soleil ski area.

Responsible for business growth and the development of the online presence of Mountain Mavericks ski chalets and hotels in Morzine, France. My main responsibilities involved managing all aspects of guest bookings, up-selling and increasing customer spend through ad-on sales and growing online sales through the introduction of new technology.

My main role was to guide and instruct groups of guests during tours but I also assisted with all areas of the business including uplift driving, airport transfers chalet hosting and operations.

In my role as a Professional Field Sales Representative I managed 170 independently owned accounts across the busy Brighton city centre, ensuring they were making the most of their soft drinks opportunity, which in turn resulted in sustainable long term volume growth for the business. As well as selling in our product range this involved building relationships with key contacts, gaining brand visibility through point of sale materials and negotiating the placement of refrigerated and ambient equipment in the most prosperous locations. I was responsible for identifying opportunities and developing financially viable business proposals from conception through to completion.

Roost DH is a mountain bike holiday company based in Southern Spain. In this role I not only guided and instructed groups of guests during tours but also assisted with all areas of the business, including chalet hosting, operations and the development of a programme of evening entertainment.

I was responsible for dealing with Special Order enquiries and mail order/online customers. This involved sourcing, purchasing and distributing obscure bike parts from all over the World. I was also trained as a Warranty Agent.

In this role I managed over 200 independent retail accounts, promoting soft drink sales, improving the merchandising standards of the store, initiating and maintaining customer facing promotions and actively seeking new business opportunities.

Evans Cycles is the UK’s leading cycle retailer and I joined them for six months of my gap year. During the University holidays I was re-instated in this position and in 2008 I was promoted to Key Holder, responsible for managing the shop two days a week.
