As part of the Strategy Team at SFAF, I facilitate the organization's program evaluation and research initiatives.

The NIH-supported (T32) University of Washington STD & AIDS Research Training Program’s goal is to train the next generation of leaders in STD and AIDS research. Since its inception in 1974, has trained over 140 pre- and post-doctoral trainees.

Provide technical/analytic support, subject matter expertise, and methodological input on several projects in the CAMP portfolio.

Supporting a Principal Investigator and team of multiple subject matter experts on an NIH-funded (R34 grant) project exploring the feasibility and community-perceived need of pharmacy-based HCV treatment.

Evidence quality appraisal and methodological support for a systematic review and meta analysis of vertical (birthing parent-to-infant) HIV transmission risk.

STD Surveillance, Division of HIV & STD ProgramsData engineering, analysis, and reporting for the Syphilis Outbreak Strategy (SOS) grant and associated activities. Highlights:- Developed a data management and analysis solution for a complex multi-center syphilis testing program in emergency departments in Los Angeles County- Collaborated with LAC colleagues to develop 4 scientific conference abstracts

- Provided comprehensive data and program evaluation support for PHSKC in matters related to the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) funding mechanism, including the composition of funder reports (CDC, HRSA), internal documents, and external/general audience reports- Designed and implemented a novel enhanced partner services project in accordance with EHE Pillar 4: Respond, Cluster Detection & Response, including developing and maintaining data storage system, supervising implementation by Disease Intervention Specialist, and generating routine data report-outs for internal use and for sharing with collaborators across the United States- Managed and analyzed data, generated several subject matter reports for the Annual HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Report & Community Profile by PHSKC and the Washington State Dept. of Health

In this role at PHSKC, I performed the core duties of a Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS), including: partner services, linkage to care, HIV/STI surveillance support.

Worked closely with the Multnomah County Health Dept. to implement HIV prevention activities among men who have sex with men (MSM) at risk of sexual HIV acquisition; lead the quarterly reporting process for the County, outlining how my position made use of funding resources; supervised volunteer testers and developed community partnerships, providing testing services and identifying new cases.

Laid groundwork for CAP's PrEP Program; collected data to ascertain a baseline of PrEP awareness in the Portland Area, developed a directory of local PrEP providers, and created an original document to educate CAP testing clients on PrEP.
