The department was a service provider within the Operations and Client Service division (1200 employees) and helped the different service delivery and client service teams to reach their objectives related to service quality, risk reduction & efficiency, while leading the implementation of the Lean methodology.I was responsible for a team of +/- 25 experts in the various lean domains such as performance management, organization and skills and people engagement, enabling a successful lean transformation.

The department (+/- 85 experts) was responsible for the full service delivery around international withholding taxes, transaction stamp duties and market claims related to coupon and dividend payments. I was accountable for the overall people & operations management, and the service delivery. I acquired an in-depth knowledge of international withholding and transaction tax across the world.Creation, set-up and implementation of a major project (8000 man days) enabling the automation of most parts of the tax service for Euroclear and its clients

The department (+/- 50 experts) was responsible for the internal and cross-border settlement process, managing daily around 140,000 transactions, with a total value of +/- 1 trillion euro.As department head, I was accountable for the overall people & operations management (incl. strategy, risk mgt, process efficiency, technical developments), and the service delivery. I acquired an in-depth knowledge of the real-time settlement platform, communication (SWIFT), cross-border settlement for more than 40 countries and all related services: credit, collateral management, securities lending & borrowing, and money transfer.
