Designed, developed and deployed a centralized end-to-end process flow in Salesforce B2B Commerce, CPQ and Salesforce Billing, to support the sales motion of multiple diverse Business Units. The solution handles Trials, License SKUs, Cloud Services/SAAS SKUs, and Hybrid combinations of these, and covers all process steps from Quoting (CPQ) to Order Management/Fulfillment to Invoicing/Payment to Financial Apps including integrations with other systems (Marketing, Product Platforms, Payment Gateway, AR, Sales Comp, Rev Rec, Support Portal)

Designed and supported an end-to-end Zuora Subscription Billing solution for Quest, formerly known as Dell Software Group (DSG). Central in the solution: SalesForce and Zuora, a cloud based Subscription Billing Engine. My job: develop 'the car around the engine'; which included developing Subscription Offerings via the Online Order portal (self service) and via Salesforce (Sales Rep driven assisted sales path). The new system handles new subscriptions, and amendments on inflight subscription, including the ability to Upsell, and to migrate legacy orders. In the legacy system mid-flight contract changes were prohibitively hard to manage. The new system keeps the process simple: · On the front-office side, the quoting solution includes Revenue Forecasting, global Tax calculation, Address and Account validation, Digital Signatures (including counter-signing), Trade Export Compliance. The system automatically computes Sales Commission (based on Total Contract Value (TCV) for net-new subscriptions and Delta TCV for amendments (add, replace, remove, renew, upsell, cancel charges).· On the fulfillment side, the system supports fixed- and flexible- start dates (where provisioning determines the actual billing start date) and various provisioning workflows: lock-stepped or fire-and-forget, internal or external via 3rd party. System automatically handles the creation and replacement of Assets and Licenses for new subscriptions and all amendment types.· On the billing and back-office side, the system supports co-terming and pro-rating on all amendment scenarios (add, replace, remove, renew, cancel), three charge models (one-time, recurring, or usage based); billing-in-arrears, billing-in-advance, alignment to start of month, -end of month, -end of quarter or to specific Bill Cycle days. We allow mixed charge periods (monthly, quarterly, etc) and generate consolidated invoices, with enough detail to be self-explanatory to the customer.
