Leading and managing a multidiscipline engineering team responsible for producing the design and coordination of rail systems (Track, Train control, Communication Systems, SCADA, Power Supply and Distribution and other rail sub-systems).Additionally covering the role of Systems Engineering Lead responsible for managing the Systems Engineering approach for the project (Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Systems Integration, EMC, Human Factors and Verification and Validation) Supporting the activities of construction, maintenance and operation activities and phases of transfer to the customer or operators. Responsibilities :• Lead and participate actively in the preparation and adherence to a schedule of deliverables in collaboration with the various sub-systems leads and the planning team. • Manage the System’s design deliverables to schedule and budget. Direct activities relating to the progress and financial reports related to the System design elements.• Establish quality standards in collaboration with the different teams within SNC-Lavalin.• Establish the required needs in terms of resources in the delivery of the plans, specifications and design details in order to meet the commitments in terms of costs, deadlines and quality standards. • Ensure fluid communication between the project management team, the systems design team, construction team and the various internal and external stakeholders related to systems design elements.• Participate actively in the negotiations when changes are made with the suppliers and/or subcontractors during awarding of subcontracts.• Responsible for the delivery of all engineering products meeting quality, schedule and budget goals within the Rail Systems disciplines• Responsible for inter-disciplinary coordination of complex engineering packages
