Resident Engineer providing the following:-Technical leadership for complex or unique assignments. Reviews drawings, specifications, and installation or constructability.-Monitors construction progress and compares with reviewed Progress Schedule.-Guidance and training to inspection staff.-Reviews and drafts responses to Contractor's correspondence as required.-Prepares summary inspection report of daily activities.-Recording all information necessary to complete "As-builts".-Assisting foreman to communicate with residents and businesses along the project such as informing schools, hospitals, businesses about potential utility impacts.-Constantly monitoring safety, quality, and efficiency of work while advising the contractor about recommended actions.

-Overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. -Charting out the project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants.-Bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.-Implementation of various construction operations through proper coordination.-Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants.-Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.-Periodic inspection of construction sites.-Ensure project documents are complete.-Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.-Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto client.

Worked directly under a PE supervising and inspecting a multi-million dollar water main improvement project. Responsibilities included maintaining an engineer’s diary, inspector’s daily reports, quantity book, change orders, submittals, and invoices. Additionally, ensured that all work was done to code and within budgetary demands. General responsibilities included updating datum and editing plans utilizing MicroStation; Assisted licensed surveyors and engineers on site with construction layout, stationing, field inspections, inspecting as-builts, regular topography, and general surveying.
