About Bart Jansen

A traditional love story: Met my wife in Germany during an Erasmus exchange. Graduated as an engineer and moved to Finland, struggled to find work. Luckily Pizza Hut was hiring so I managed to get some footing.Learned the language and worked my way up from being a dishwasher to a shift manager.Then started a pretty crazy ride:-Went to Dealdash as a customer support agent answering emails-Ended up running the department after a couple of months-Moved to procurement-Made 7-figure deals with Fortune500 companies such as Sears, BestBuy and Walmart.Then decided to go back to engineering. So in a foreign language decided to go study structural engineering.Graduated with a 4.23 GPA and found work as a consultant and structural engineer @Sweco.I was voted as newcomer of the year 2018 and was part of the winning team of the "renovation of the year 2018" - award.My mentor at Sweco, Sakari Siikaoja, left for Planera and I decided to join him to continue to learn and grow as a designer. Now I run a team of 4 structural engineers.Can't wait to see what comes next!
