    So here is where I really learned the really important lessons of life, what makes people tick, what hard work really is, what matters, what doesn't, who I wanted to be and where to draw my own boundaries: Pulling pints, scrubbing bathrooms, washing pots, serving ice-creams, entering-data, telemarketing, serving dodgy kebabs to drunks and cabbies on the midnight-7am shift, back-breaking work picking all sorts of fruit in all sorts of places and (slowly) shearing sheep and driving tractors in Glenorchy - still the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Some of these jobs I loathed and was frankly terrible at (tele-marketing case in point). But mostly these were enriching experiences with extraordinary people who taught me everything I needed to know for the work I now do and love.
