I am currently assigned to the Special Enforcement Team (also known as S.E.T.). assigned to the North Naples District of the CCSO. The primary purpose of this patrol support unit is to assist in conducting law enforcement applications by targeting current crime trends. These specific crimes include Robbery, Burglary, Homicide, Aggravated Battery, Sexual Battery to name a few. This unit also assists all other areas of the sheriff’s office in order to help detectives and bureaus complete and eventually close their respective open criminal cases. This may require searching for known criminals and conducting hours/days of surveillance if necessary which end with the apprehension of such criminal. This unit has assisted in many apprehensions and assisted many areas of law enforcement from local jurisdictions to Federal Law Enforcement as well. This unit currently assists the Street Gang Unit and the Vice Narcotics Bureau as they conduct their respective investigations daily/weekly. I have supervised 2 other Special Enforcement Teams in other districts of the Sheriff’s Office which has given me more insight into known criminals and areas of criminal activity. I continue to further my training and experience at any opportunity presented which has been instrumental over the years.

I also conduct Field Training for newly promoted Sergeants and introduce them to on the job training for many aspects of their upcoming supervisory roles.

My current role as Operations Chief on my current team requires the proper coordination and application of resources needed to provide a safe response and environment for all. A recent event of such was the Wildfires of 2017 in which our area suffered devastating wildfires that injured several and caused millions of dollars in damage. I assisted by becoming Staging manager of the events and worked in conjunction with the other intricate members of the team to help coordinate and apply multiple resources coming into our area to assist. I have attended and competed all necessary courses provided by FEMA in order to be a part of this team.
