I had a long-and-checkered career in commercial kitchens, having covered all positions from dishwasher to butcher to saucier to executive chef (in a French restaurant), lasting nearly twenty years (I used my skill at shucking oysters to place fifth in the West Coast [usa] Oyster Shucking Championship in 1983, even).From there, I moved into Landwork and Horticulture, via the kitchen garden, attaining certification as a Master Gardener, and participating in ambitious projects of all kinds, from planting to removal, including large-scale land renovations, installation of water features and paths, and over a hundred raised beds - level and square as if Euclid had done it himself, with an experienced crew. As a result of all this, I also have extensive heavy equipment experience (a Tractor Whisperer; even the old guys with hair growing out of their ears remove their caps when I fire up the machine, truly).However, considering the need for work that was gentler on (we must admit) my aging body, I began studying web development in 2003, and having acquired proficiency, began seeking clientele in 2007.
