At Thrasher Liss & Smith, LLC (TLS), I represented small- to mid-sized companies, as well as individuals, in Georgia, throughout the U.S., and Internationally.Through the TLS Litigation Department, I served as lead counsel and second chair on numerous types of litigation, including business disputes, employment litigation (employer and plaintiff), whistleblower/qui tam litigation, non-competes/restrictive covenants, contract/collections matters, real estate disputes, shareholder/derivative lawsuits, and intellectual property litigation.Through the TLS Corporate Department, I assisted clients from a variety of industries with corporate formation/organization issues, trademark/copyright registration, licensing, contract drafting, employment counseling, restrictive covenants, securities compliance, commercial real estate, and tax issues.

At Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, I was primarily a commercial litigator. My litigation practice encompassed numerous areas of the law, including IP, trademarks, false advertising, defamation, commercial real estate leases, contracts, easements, homeowners associations, and collections. Additionally, I represented insurance carriers in first-party coverage disputes.

At Crim and Bassler, I focused on construction defect and insurance defense litigation.

I worked as an Associate in the Mechanical Patents Group at Alston + Bird, where I prosecuted domestic and international patent applications in the software, business method, mechanical, and electrical fields. Additionally, I drafted invalidity and non-infringement opinions, mapped patent portfolios, and conducted patent infringement analyses in support of patent litigation.

As a summer associate, I learned the nuts and bolts of litigation by drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and notice letters; responding to discovery requests; and taking depositions.

As an Associate and Senior Associate in the Risk Advisory Services group at KPMG, I delivered information technology consulting and audit services to a variety of clients, from small- to mid-sized businesses to global, Fortune 500 corporations. As an IT consultant, I advised clients on all aspects of their information technology strategies, including information and network security policies, technology purchase planning, and implementation and integration of hardware and software assets. As an IT auditor, I evaluated the configuration and effectiveness of information security measures for information systems, network management, and software applications for numerous consulting projects, financial audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley audits. Additionally, I established and managed a project management office for the $100+ million financial audit of a global telecommunications firm.
